Financial Commitment to Instruction

Tooele County School District is committed to being open and transparent concerning District finances. For the 2017-2018 school year, the District had General Fund expenditures of $105.538 million which were a 12% increase from expenditures in the 2016-2017 school year. Revenues increased by 10% from the prior year in the 2017-2018 school year due to the large growth of student numbers. For the 2017-2018 school year, revenues received consisted of roughly 18.04% from local property taxes, 1.24% from other local sources, 4.81% from federal appropriations, and 75.91% from state income taxes. DLI Secondary Transition

Six years ago, Tooele County School District launched the Dual Language Immersion program. This fall, students who were part of the first group of DLI classes in TCSD will be transitioning into junior high. 69% Of the 2018-19 graduating class, 69% of those graduates were Career and Technical Education pathway completers. The state average is 20%.
26 TCSD has 15 elementary schools, 3 junior highs, 4 high schools, 1 K-12 school, 1 special education pre-K, 1 alternative school, and 1 online K-12 school.
8 DLI TCSD has 8 schools with a Dual Language Immersion program. We offer open enrollment DLI in French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
4 STEM We have four state-designated STEM schools. STEM curriculum covers four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach.
7,286 Sq Miles Tooele County School district covers 7,286 square miles.
1:1 Wendover High, Dugway K-12, Ibapah Elementary and Vernon Elementary have laptops for every student.
